Byrd's Building on corner of Main and Prairie now sports button-shaped red-and-white LOCAL Foods logo



LOCAL FOODS getting ready to open
in former GEORGIA'S MARKET corner space on Main and Prairie 

919 Prairie / 420 Main St. 

Not only is it a prominent corner space, with entrance on the corner, it's also multi-level, with an open flight of stairs in the interior. Uninstalled stairs below during buildout earlier in 2016.

The former Byrd's Department Store Building dates from the 1930s and is now known as Byrd's Lofts. It is a historic landmark, with greens on the roof. The architect was Joseph Finger,
