60s-era office building at 5433 Westheimer acquires new owners and a new look

Boxy older office building is now graced with a tree,
albeit one in just two dimensions

Half-centenarian Galleria-area office building sold 
and re-branded with green tree planted on the exterior wall
facing out on Westheimer    

On Feb 29, 2016, 5433 Westheimer LP, a Texas Limited Partnership, sold the 5433 Westheimer office property on an "as is" (fix-it-up-yourself) basis to Campbell Spring Branch, Ltd, Quasar Galleria, Ltd, and Ronald and David Hecht (as new co-owners with varying shares, but as tenants in common), The 11-story office building was built in 1965. The property was appraised at $12,2 mil in 2015 by HCAD. It includes a restaurant (Ruth's Chris Steak House, photo below) and an adjoining low-level garage (see ramp in the photo above).

According to realtynewsreport NAI Partners, led by Doug Pack and Sam Hensen, will lease and manage the 134,000-SF building, which is just west of the Galleria and blends into the West Loop skyline.

There is quite a bit of construction activity in the immediate vicinity. Not only is the Galleria being partially upgraded; there is the massive AD Players theater rising and acquiring its final shape on the North side of Westheimer; and the HISD Chinese immersion school is on its way on West Alabama.
