Mosaic as public art form in Houston [not just a certain condo tower]

The mosaic is an art form that is much less prevalent in Houston than are the murals, and the word is mostly associated with a certain high-rise residential development on the edge of Herman Park, but there are a few contemporary public art exemplars of the ancient decorative art around town, including a large spread covering the entire wall of a building on California Street in Montrose titled "This is Houston". It includes images of oil rigs, a fountain (possibly Mecom Fountain), an airplane, a Metro light rail train, and is framed by colorful tiles that represent the flags of many different countries, thus highlighting Houston as a city with a multitude of international connections.
