Has the luck run out on Lucky Burger?

Plans for re-purposing the iconic blue barrel burger joint on the corner of Mandell and Richmond have apparently fallen through. This artifact from decades past has been fenced for months and appears moth-balled. But it still stands - as a quaint piece of neighborhood history -  and has luckily not fallen victim to Revelry's hunger for parking spaces. At least not yet.

Lucky Burger not so lucky.

HCAD shows the owner for the entire property (including the space occupied by Revelry)
as 1601 RICHMOND REALTY LTD.

The restaurant property was posted for lease by braun enterprises in 2014. See pic below:

The 'FOR LEASE' sign is no longer posted as of July 2015,
so the original signage is again restored to its former glory,
though the sign on the street corner is gone.
